FAQ

I heard that the indicator for water quality testing has changed from "coliform count" to "E. coli count." What's the difference?

Environmental standards were revised in October 2021. The "coliform bacteria" category included harmless bacteria originating from soil, making it difficult to determine fecal contamination. The new indicator, "E. coli," is found only in the intestines of humans and animals, making it a highly reliable indicator of fecal contamination. Our company also plans to launch "ColiSpect R/B," a culture medium for sewage treatment plants, in May 2026.
